Rafael Nadal reignited the debate over who will complete with the Grand Slam titles in men’s tennis afterwards he won his first 19th important .
Even the Spaniard withstood a fightback after possibly the best US Open showpiece to win his fourth title at Flushing Meadows, by Daniil Medvedev.
Nadal is currently within one of Roger Federer’s haul of 20 Grand Slam titles and three before world No 1 Novak Djokovic.
The’Big Three’ have won 33 of their 40 Grand Slam titles within the last ten years and also have shared the last 12 majors involving them to reevaluate their dominance.
Nadal is going to be confident of defending his Open title more next year and winning a 13th Roland Garros crown, even while Djokovic will begin the season.
The two Nadal and Djokovic have won two Grand Slams this year after the Serb saved two championship points to defeat Federer at the Wimbledon singles final.
