It doesn’t matter why head coach Brian Shaw is embracing a deep spinning for his Denver Nuggets—it could be since the roster lacks a definite top eight, or it might be a sign the Nugs will utilize line changes to double-down on fatigue-inducing speed at elevation like a lot of Denver squads before.
What matters is the fact that it is a wise idea.
«There’s likely to be 10 men at the onset of the season, will be two at each place, which will be in the primary rotation,» Shaw stated, per Nate Timmons of all DenverStiffs.com. «with filthy trouble or blowouts, 1 way or another, that will ascertain if it gets deeper than that.»
The postseason remains a lofty goal with this club, mainly because there are 10 teams which seem scarier (and have better title odds) from the West. All that thickness behind stars Ty Lawson and Kenneth Faried could be enough to propel the Nuggets into a .500 album, but it could be a stunner when they finished the 2014-15 campaign in the conference’s top eight.
Many hands make light work, though, and Denver will employ more hands than nearly anybody this year. We’ll see when sharing the load pays off in surprising fashion.
