Ben Youngs states England have decided to ensure that there are»no regrets» from the World Cup in Japan since the scrum-half pledged to repay Eddie Jones’ funding.
Even the 30-year-old is set to feature in his third World Cup and England are viewed among the championship favourites before the opener from Tonga on Sunday.
Youngs echoed Billy Vunipola’s telephone at their official ceremony to his team-mates to create memories of a life, four years on from their disappointing championship on home soil.
«we would like to love it. We want to have no regrets,» said Youngs, who is England’s most seasoned team member alongside Dan Cole.
«we would like to make it an remarkable adventure on the pitch but also off it.»
Youngs, who is among two scrum-halves alongside Willi Heinz in Jones’ squad, was singled out by Jones as a participant who might emerge to hold the biggest influence on their negative chances.
The Leicester Tigers back believes time out of the game near the end of the Premiership season with a shoulder injury has allowed him to arrive at the World Cup in the very best shape.
«Physically, I really do feel really great. I had a lengthy lay-off which gave me the opportunity to work on my physical fitness,» he said.
«I had an edge in turning to camp mentally fresh but physically good also. I would like to be a part of this team.
«It’s nice for Eddie to back me to execute. Hopefully I can back up his words.»
The World Cup begins with hosts Japan, on Friday to face Russia, and Youngs admits that the squad are itching to begin their campaign against Tonga, they also confronted to 2007 in the pool stages in their run.
«It has been a very long time. You simply sense the group is very excited,» Youngs said.
«It is exactly the same for every other group that is here. We have been building up for this for a long moment.
«So has another state so we are as excited as I am sure Tonga would be to get out there. You want to kick off the tournament.
«We’ve to wait a few days while everybody else is enjoying but come Sunday we’ll probably soon be ready as a facet and we are extremely much looking forward to getting our campaign »
