Belinda Bencic continued her fabulous form to reach the US Open semi-finals later viewing Donna Vekic in straight sets on Wednesday off.
Bencic had already knocked out world No 1 and defending champion Naomi Osaka at the last round, and she made it on her maiden Grand Slam semi-final with a 7-6 (7-5) 6-3 victory over the Croatian.
She fired eight aces and won 84 percent of points on her serve to wrap up the contest against her friend that was close

«I think we are able to be friends off the court but do our job on the courtroom and keep focused. I’m sure off the court we’re still friends,» said Bencic.
«I actually like the challenge. For me personally it is more motivation although some gamers are maybe scared of the courts that are huge. I am quite enjoying my tennis.»
