It seems just like SummerSlam 2018 was only yesterday, however, the countdown to WWE’s next pay-per-view — Hell in a Cell — is already underway.
The build-up to the event really started the night after the’biggest event of the summer’, with Braun Strowman formally announcing he was cashing in his Money in the Bank briefcase on Roman Reigns for its Universal Championship.
That bout will happen inside the dreaded mobile structure, as will the game pitting Randy Orton against Jeff Hardy, who have been locked in a brutal feud since the Viper’s return in July.
Also announced are just two SummerSlam rematches, firstly Ronda Rousey will shield her Raw Women’s name for the first time contrary to the previous ruler Alexa Bliss, and AJ Styles will once again defend his WWE Championship against Samoa Joe.
Along with the escalating feud between Daniel Bryan and The Miz will warm up as their wives, Brie Bella and Maryse, will combine them for a combined tag-team match in San Antonio.
The New Day will even defend their newly-won Smackdown Tag Team straps from The Bar or among the Usos, Sanity or Rusev Day, making it a six-match card for now.
It is shaping up to be an entertaining series, and also the early gambling odds have been published by SkyBet.
Judging by what they’re offering on the games so far, it looks like none of the significant titles will be changing hands.
