Somerset’s Tom Banton has won the August PCA Player of the Month award following an outstanding month which saw him score his T20 century.
Banton was the clear winner with 53 percent of the general vote, before team-mate Tom Abell (22 percent ) Yorkshire’s Adam Lyth (13 percent ) and Derbyshire’s Wayne Madsen (12 percent ).
The PCA’s Most Valuable Player Rankings had previously selected the four-man Song, together using the nominees scoring MVP points than anybody else in August.
