Week 3 of those 2019 NFL preseason favorite Tennessee Titans at Nashville and comes to a conclusion on Sunday night with a nationally televised game between the Pittsburgh Steelers.

We are all used to watching NFL activity on Sundays? Well, one Sunday game in Week 3 and it will be the last afternoon of Sunday NFL before Week 1 of the regular season. That’s because all teams play Thursday of the exhibition program at Week 4. The Pittsburgh Steelers see Week 3 to be closed out by the Tennessee Titans.
Both ended last regular season and just missed the playoffs. The Titans could have maintained a Wild-Card place if they’d won Week 17 at home vs. Indianapolis, however, the Colts were certainly exceptional and rolled into a 33-17 victory. Starting Titans QB Marcus Mariota overlooked the match hurt and Blaine Gabbert was awful in his place.
Pittsburgh had a Week 17 win over Cincinnati and a Baltimore property loss to Cleveland for the Steelers to choose the AFC North. Pittsburgh did its job using the franchise with a victory — with no prior star receiver Antonio Brown in his final act of defiance. However, the Ravens didn’t cooperate with a 26-24 win over the Browns.
Despite not playing starting QB Ben Roethlisberger steelers coach Mike Tomlin is 2-0 this year and a in his preseason profession. The Steelers played with their first two edging Tampa Bay 30-28 in Week 1 and then beating on Kansas City week. Going by the background of Tomlin, Big Ben must play a bit . Joshua Dobbs and Mason Rudolph are competing for the job, with most.
Titans coach Mike Vrabel is 1-1 this year — Tennessee has yet to win a house exhibition game. The Titans were first Week 1 winners at Philadelphia 27-10 and subsequently lost 22-17 at home to New England last week but directed most of the game. It was won by A TD pass to the Pats. The Titans crime along with mariota and four series have played thus much but could the entire first half of the one.
Top running back Derrick Henry has yet to perform in the preseason because of a calf injury but did return to practice. If this means he may go in this , not clear. No. 1 tight end Delanie Walker broke his arm in Week 1 last year and had not played last week at the Patriots. He caught a TD pass by Mariota. The Titans’ offense isn’t the same with Walker, the best tight end in franchise history. Meanwhile, Mariota’s copy Ryan Tannehill was excellent this preseason having a 130.8 passer rating, completing 19 of 27 for 214 yards. Some believe he might slip the job from Mariota.
These teams played in the 2018 preseason Pittsburgh however although in Week 3. The Steelers won 16-6. Big Ben, making his preseason debut of’18, was 11-for-18 for 114 yards and a touchdown in a few string. Mariota was 5-for-8 for 43 yards and a selection and didn’t play with a ton. He overlooked for what could have been a touchdown on Tennessee’s starting drive, wide-open Corey Davis.
As I am sure they’d love to end that house preseason losing series, we are going to take the Titans here.
