Belgian police have arrested Anderlecht executive Herman Van Holsbeeck as part of a money laundering and corruption investigation surrounding player transfers.
The prosecutor’s office in Brussels says an arrest was made on Thursday following raids earlier this week at Belgium, Monaco and London that caused the arrest of Christophe Henrotay,» one of the most influential Belgian agents operating together with international players.
Van Holsbeeck worked till April 2018 as overall manager from 2003 with Anderlecht, A former professional player.
Prosecutors said that the wave of arrests is linked when police uttered the offices of Anderlecht and also the Belgian football association to hunts that took place in April. Investigators are looking into corruption between players’ transport and operations.
Agent Henrotay was arrested included in the analysis in Monaco on Wednesday, with a few of these moves under scrutiny being Aleksandar Mitrovic’s 2015 change from Anderlecht into Newcastle.
Henrotay is the representative of superstars including Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois and his Belgium team-mate Yannick Carrasco.
This case isn’t related to the corruption scandal that dissipates Belgian soccer a year ago after police carried 57 police raids out and around Europe at a probe into match-fixing and also fiscal fraud.
