Hearts proprietor Ann Budge says director Craig Levein has been given their financing by the board of the club despite a poor start to the season.
Hearts sit of this Scottish Premiership having only picked up two points in their opening five matches of this year.
Last weekend’s 3-2 home defeat to Motherwell was followed closely by fan protests out Tynecastle, with a few fans for Levein’s sacking calling.
Budge published a lengthy statement on the club website criticising»unfair» coverage of Levein and ignoring claims that the club are lining up a replacement.
«[…] In short, our Board remains behind the supervisor, his coaching staff and his team,» Budge said.
«Not since he’s’untouchable’, not because he is’all-powerful’, rather than because we’re’weak’, as has been suggested.
«We stay supporting him since we think in the plan we’ve collectively assemble.
«What we do not do is overreact, throw all of our plans from the window and then start again!
«[…] I would just point out that, unlike other managers, who may get called before the plank if/when things are going wrong, Craig has to introduce to the full board at each board meeting on the way things are moving against [the] strategy across every area of the football performance, such as highlighting topics and talking courses of actions.»
